Places to go in Miami

Living in Miami means there is always something to do: new restaurants, bars, and events pop up every single day and we want to try them all! So I will update this list with all of our recommendations as we explore Miami and keep adding new restaurants and experiences that we have enjoyed in our favorite city.

Restaurants

  1. Ch'i - A new Chinese-latin fusion restaurant at the top of Brickell City Centre, Ch'i boasts chic interior decor and delicious cuisine behind a speakeasy-style door. We went with a group on a Sunday night and loved the ambiance, just be sure to make a reservation ahead of time. The food and cocktails were amazing. We had tuna tataki, ceviche, seared tuna bites, and a mango passionfruit cheesecake! It was to die for. I posted a video on TikTok if you want to check out the vibe and see what we chose off the menu.

  2. Bakan - If you want authentic Mexican food in Miami there's one place you need to go. From cricket guac to ginormous enchiladas, Bakan in Wynwood has some truly amazing menu items. Make a reservation if you plan to go on the weekend, or just sit at the bar for a nightlife vibe. Bonus: the cocktails are to die for! My favorite was the watermelon margarita.

  3. Toro Toro - Inside the Intercontinental Miami is a steakhouse that serves up unique fusion dishes with creative twists and an unbeatable taste. The chef, Jean Delgado, is an amazing artist and we enjoyed every single bite of dishes like Bone Marrow Arepas and Lamb Shank.

  4. Tanuki - A beautiful sushi restaurant on Miami Beach with a unique interior design and chill lounge music. The Butter Crab Roll is my absolute favorite menu item but the Peking duck and Wagyu Dim Sum take a close second! We have eaten here several times and have not been disappointed. The service is fast and the food is great. They also have a full bar with saki tasting options for the full experience.

Bars

  1. 8 Street Brickell - Right across from Brickell City Centre where calle ocho empties into Brickell lies a luxe bar with smooth blue suede couches and colorful overhead light displays. The DJs play loungey Tulum/Mykonos type vibes and the cocktails are out of this world. Grab an old fashioned or martini and sip in luxury with brickell's elite.
